Accessibility Statement
At Pawfectly Behaved, we believe dog training should be inclusive and accessible. Our commitment to inclusivity has led us to design services accessible to disabled people. We are here to provide tailored solutions to ensure you and your dog enjoy a fulfilling relationship.
Our Inclusive Approach:
Welcoming Carers:
Carers are not only welcomed but encouraged to participate in training sessions. We recognise the vital role they play in supporting your training goals. We are here to collaborate with both you and your carer to achieve success. Please note that a carer or guardian must accompany clients under 18 at all training.
Neurodivergent-friendly Services:
In our training sessions, we prioritise clear and straightforward communication. Sessions can be structured to follow a predictable format, providing security and comfort during the learning process. As a neurodivergent-friendly business, we accept and understand neurodivergent behaviours and needs.
Customised Training Programs:
We work with each client to create customised training plans that align with their specific needs, preferences, and learning styles. Whether navigating the world with a mobility aid or having other specific requirements, we will create a force-free programme to accommodate your accessibility needs.
Flexible Training Locations:
Training sessions are available in various locations in Solihull and the surrounding areas. This flexibility allows us to choose an environment that suits your comfort and accessibility requirements.
Virtual Training Options:
We offer virtual training sessions for those who would like the supplement in-person training. Through video calls, we can guide you through exercises, provide feedback, and address training concerns. Please note that an in-person dog assessment must have been conducted before booking virtual training.
Our Specialised Services:
Assistance Dog Training: We train assistance dogs to assist their disabled handlers in various environments. From mobility assistance to alerting to medical conditions, we tailor our training to meet your needs.
Skilled Companion Dog Training: Our skilled companion dog training is suitable for dogs who are unable to be assistance dogs. This can occur for a variety of reasons, including health or temperament issues. Skilled companion dogs are trained to assist their disabled owner in home and pet-friendly environments.
Consulting Services: We provide a range of consulting services aimed at education providers and businesses to increase accessibility. From educational talks to accessibility consulting, we are here to help businesses improve experiences for disabled people. Bespoke packages are available upon request.
